Barb Thompson
TOUR STOP #8
Barb lives on a two-acre spit of land in a tidal lagoon with access to the ocean by kayak at high tide. Her studio and home are in a decagon (ten-sided) house overlooking the water with a panoramic southern and western view. The land, sea, and sky on the Eastern Shore are ever changing, providing endless inspiration for Barb’s art. Barb’s paintings express both the dramatic and ephemeral qualities of the landscape. She works primarily in acrylic and pastel en plein air from her home and she looks forward to sharing the view and her paintings with visitors.
