Marlene has lived in Seaforth for 40 years. “The ocean has always been a spiritual place for me, providing me with a wealth of inspiration.” Items that wash ashore often find their way into her studio and her art, including shells, bones, driftwood etc.
She has painted with oil, watercolour and local clay. Marlene often paints on location, “I am fascinated by the design created by shadow and light inside the natural world whether people, objects or landscape.”
